This workshop guides you through our comprehensive, hands-on Grade 4/5 Integrated Resource Unit on Mining. This unit introduces rocks and minerals, covers the rock cycle, and explains the importance of minerals as natural resources. Learn about mining in the past, present and future, BC’s mining communities, mining and the environment, the uses of minerals in everyday life, and careers in the mining industry.

Presented by MineralsEd partner-teacher Andrea Eisler.

Location: Templeton Secondary School, 727 Templeton Dr, Vancouver, BC V5L 4N8

***Registration priority will be given to teachers that have not taken this workshop in the past.
